NYS MWBE Supplier Invitation
September/November 2011

Abator is inviting New York State MWBE Certified firms to partner in support of its response to the CIO/OFT Select IT Consultant Services RFP 11-01. A complete zipped copy of the RFP is available here for downloading. Or you can obtain a copy from New York CIO/OFT.

Abator is looking for full participation from MWBE suppliers - meaning if we are awarded you will have the opportunity to participate/compete (against the other awarded prime vendors) in every request issued in the labor category you choose to support during the RFP process. We'll also ask you to help us determine pricing for the skills/titles you want to support. NOTE: The terms and conditions of the NYS CIO/OFT RFP/contract will flow down to our partners/suppliers, so make sure you review the NYS Contract Language carefully.

We expect transparent communications with our partners. Every partner will participate in determining the suggested billing rates by title.

Abator is willing to sign NDAs to protect your rights with your consultants -- at the very least, Abator warrants that it will not pursue the engagement of your staff or contractors for a period of 12 months following the termination of this contract's (or subsequent) agreements. And, we won't use your client reference information for anything except the RFP bid, either.

Technical requirements for consultant positions.

The following information is required from potential partners by 8 November 2011:

  • A narrative describing which categories your business wants to support.
  • A narrative describing your approach to staffing projects, including reference checking, background screening, and typical response times.
  • A completed Abator NYS CIO Partcipant form.
  • A copy of your NYS MWBE Certificate.

A sample Supplier Contract is posted below for potential partner review, and a suggested NDA for supplier's consultants.
